When I was younger I never had to worry about back pain. Every now and then I would hear some of my coworkers talk about how I needed to be careful while lifting, but I never really worried about it. Then one day, I bent over sideways to pick up my daughter (who was an infant at the time). I was immediately crippled by back pain. It hurt to inhale, it hurt to exhale, it hurt to move, and it hurt to be still. No matter what I did, I couldn’t stop the pain.
